The acoustic map below is an ever-growing collection of 1 to 5 minute sound recordings embedded on a world map at the exact location of each recording.
Tips: You can zoom in to the exact location (down to street level) of each sound and out again, using the ‘+’ and ‘-’ signs at the top left of the map. To move across the map, simply click and drag your cursor within the map or use your keyboard arrow keys. To listen to a recording, click on a blue box with a white speaker symbol, then press play. For best quality, headphones are recommended.
