I traveled down to London for the March for the Alternative demo that attracted somewhere between 250,000 to 500,000 people. Below are some sound recordings I made during the day.

Drummers and road sweeper (6:17)
Drummers on Victoria Embankment before the march started. A road sweeper with his broom can be heard during the first minute of recording.

RMT Brass Band 1 (1.47)
The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers brass band play before the march.

RMT Brass Band 2 (8:51)
The RMT brass band and the sounds of passersby.

Protesters passing by Holborn tube station (2:18)
“No ifs, no buts…”

Protesters on the Strand (2:30)

Walking along Victoria Embankment (11:33)
The sounds of drumming and whistles rising to cheers, passing under Waterloo Bridge.

Passing Downing Street (3:04)
Protesters booing and jeering outside of Downing Street.
